joint.pngWe offer personalized clinical and medical services to those patients who require extended observation and monitoring for complex medical issues. PAM Specialty and Rehabilitation Hospital of New Braunfels is driven to obtain the best possible outcome for our patients. We use an individual care planning process with specific goals to meet the needs of our various patients.

Long-term acute care hospital (LTACH)

A long-term acute care hospital (LTACH) is recommended for those who require complex medical management, therapeutic care and rehabilitation services -- 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, with daily assessment of the patient by a physician.

PAM Specialty Hospital has received the Gold Seal of Approval by the Joint Commission for Respiratory Failure. We are the first in the state of Texas and only the 3rd in the Nation.

Persons requiring long-term acute care are generally:

  • Admitted directly from the ICU
  • Medically and physically compromised with multi-system complications and/or failures that require hospitalization.
  • In need of extended acute care, but have the potential for recovery and may then transition home or to the next level of care.
