Nurses helping patients

Celebrating Nurses Month

Recognizing the many ways nurses make a difference

At PAM Health, we are dedicated to delivering exceptional experiences for our patients, ensuring safe and quality patient outcomes, and involving our patients and their families in the care plan.

Our nurses fulfill this mission every day by delivering, directing, and supervising care to their patients.

In May, the American Nurses Association celebrates Nurses Month all 31 days and Nurses Week from May 6 – 12. It is the perfect time for PAM Health to honor our nurses by highlighting their work and sharing the ways they make a difference.

Why nurses love working at PAM Health

The “We Care” culture, opportunities for career growth, and support to the staff are the top reasons our nurses love working for PAM Health.

As Chief Nursing Officer, Debbie Dill interviews and hires staff at PAM Health Rehabilitation Hospital Clear Lake North. “I love welcoming new grads and new nurses into the field,” says Dill. “As a nurse, you get to touch someone’s life every day. As a PAM Health nurse, you get to have fun and celebrate the successes of our patients.”

Rebecca Goins also loves the enjoyable, patient-focused environment. A Nurse Manager at PAM Health Rehabilitation Hospital Clear Lake North, she facilitates, educates, and manages the nursing team to give great patient care.

“We believe a fun, happy environment makes for happy patients and doctors,” says Goins. “Our staff works so hard and does a great job. We hear that from patients and their families.”

From the very first day on the job at PAM Health, coworkers warmly welcome new staff members with encouragement and support.

“I’m a PAMbassador,” says Marie Johnson of Clear Lake North. “PAMbassadors buddy up as a mentor and friend. This gives new employees someone to turn to for everything from operations and procedure to where the bathrooms are.”

Johnson, a licensed nurse, says PAM Health gave her opportunities to grow into the role she now holds as Director of Quality Management.

“I feel very supported by PAM Health corporate and within my hospital,” she explains. “We are a huge organization, but it is a really homey atmosphere. You get to know your coworkers, develop teams, and grow. PAM encourages employees to take advantage of the tuition reimbursement program, they assist with certification opportunities, promote from within, and help pay for continuing education units (CEUs).”

To help attract top talent, PAM Health also offers recruitment and retention bonuses for many positions.
