PAM Health Specialty Hospital of Victoria North is a Joint Commission Accredited, 26-bed, Long-Term Acute Care Hospital (LTACH). We offer personalized clinical and medical services to those patients who require extended observation and monitoring for complex medical issues.

Accelerated Care Program

The Accelerated Care Program is recommended for patients that need continued daily medical oversight and intervention in an Acute Care Hospital setting with an expected length of stay of three to seven days. 
 

Long-term acute care (LTACH)

A long-term acute care hospital (LTACH) is recommended for those who require complex medical management, therapeutic care and rehabilitation services -- 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, with daily assessment of the patient by a physician.
 

Persons requiring long-term acute care are generally:

• Admitted directly from the ICU
• Medically and physically compromised with multi-system complications and/or failures that require hospitalization.
• In need of extended acute care (average 25 days or more), but have the potential for recovery and may then transition home or to the next level of care.
