Miss. Emily, a 21 year old Texas A&M University student, was admitted to PAM Specialty Hospital of San Antonio after being involved in an ATV accident. She had a Glascow Coma Scale of 3 (non-responsive) when paramedics arrived on scene. She was trached, non-responsive, and once responsive had profound speech language deficits and no purposeful motor activity upon arriving to the hospital.
Thanks to the amazing multidisciplinary team, support from her friends and family, Emily has made a miraculous recovery. She is able to sit with standby assistance, perform upper and lower body exercises and has regained some speech. Miss. Emily can even tolerate upwards of two hours in therapy at a time without fatigue as well! We are so proud of you, Miss. Emily!
“We have been blessed that God opened doors that connected us with PAM Specialty hospital and all the gifted therapists and nurses. We give all the Glory to God for our Emily to be where she is today.”
