"José A Santos MD, is a Board Certified specialist in Physical Medicine and Rehabiltiation since 1988. He received his MD from Baylor College of Medicine in Houston Texas and completed his specialty training in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at University of California Davis in Sacramento California.
He is a native of Laredo Texas and is fluent in English and Spanish. He is a father of 3 children. He is an ordained deacon for the Archdiocese of San Antonio.
Doctor Santos holds a faculty appointment as Adjunct Professor for the Department of Rehabilitation at University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio and is involved in direct instruction to residents completing their training as specialist in PM&R.
Dr Santos firmly believes that what helps his patients recover is more than the advancements in technology of rehabilitation sciences but the desire and hope that every patient and their family and friends hold within their hearts. He works with the patient and the assembled treatment team to harness that desire to recover and begin the process of restoring function."
