"Dr. Pranay Kathuria is the Director of the Division of Nephrology and Hypertension at the University of Oklahoma, School of Community Medicine. He holds the academic rank of Professor of Medicine and is also the Program Director of the Nephrology Fellowship Program.

Dr Kathuria is an accomplished physician with special expertise in hypertension, chronic kidney disease, acute kidney injury and renal dialysis. He is highly respected as a published author, clinical educator and public speaker. He has been honored with various awards and distinctions throughout his career. He has been recognized by his peers and named multiple times in Best Doctors and Top Doctors of America. He has received many teaching awards including the Crimson Apple for Teaching Excellence and the Outstanding Clinical Faculty award for Sub Specialist. He is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians, Fellow of the American Society of Nephrology, and Fellow of the National Kidney Foundation.

He completed his medical degree from Maulana Azad Medical College, Delhi University in India. He has undergone two fellowships in Nephrology-the first at the Postgraduate Institute of Medical education and Research, Chandigarh, India and subsequently at The University of Missouri, Columbia, MO. He has been at the University of Oklahoma since 1997. "
