Diagnosis: Recovery following broken leg as a result of an accident
Frank came to PAM Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Surprise after an accident left him with a broken left fibia and tiba, below the knee. He was in a full straight leg cast and could not manage activities of daily living on his own. He needed help getting in and out of bed and doing normal things he once took for granted. When he first arrived, occupational therapists taught him techniques for transferring into and out of bed and his wheelchair. Physical therapy then worked with him to rebuild his strength, coordination, and flexibility so he could once again walk again. Frank said the therapists do a wonderful job of helping patients reach their highest potential.
