Diagnosis: Multiple injuries resulting from 12-foot fall at work; Workers’ compensation
After falling 12 feet while at work, Kevin Crumedy suffered several injuries, including a broken left humerus bone and left scapular bone, left pleural effusion, damaged ribs, and injured right grater trochanter, which is a tubercle of the femur near its with the hip bone serving as an important muscle attachment site. In addition to causing severe pain, the injuries were making it difficult for Mr. Crumedy to complete some activities of daily living, such as being able to use the bathroom independently.
From February 11-25, 2026, Mr. Crumedy participated in inpatient therapy at PAM Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Houston Heights. Joselyn, a navigator, helped him with admission, and he loved the staff. He said they were amazing and always encouraged him to go the extra mile. Physical therapy helped him with walking and navigating stairs and occupational therapy worked with him on managing his arm sling. He was also able to receive pain management, which made it possible for him to work on regaining his strength and functionality and accomplish his goals.
