Mary Ellen Terrell was falling more frequently at home. In fact, she fell two consecutive nights. After one fall, she was unable to get up on her own and called her neighbors to help. She went to the hospital but was sent back home. However, she had a feeling something was not quite right with her health but did not know what it was. Then, the next day she noticed she was slurring her speech and not thinking clearly. Once again, her neighbors helped her get to the hospital where she was diagnosed as having suffered a stroke.
Question: What made you come to PAM Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Georgetown for your care?
Answer: I heard about PAM from my neighbors and in my community. PAM was a lifesaver and helped get me started to get back on my feet. I am so happy I came to PAM.
Question: What was your favorite thing about your stay?
Answer: I enjoyed every minute of my stay at PAM — the food, the atmosphere, the people.
Every activity and machine helped me get better sooner. I knew I was going to get better.
I even knew some of the other patients who were here while I was. I enjoyed the exercises and the people. I enjoyed the staff conversations and socializing.
Question: What do you tell others about PAM?
Answer: Everyone at PAM is so nice. They were so accommodating to my friends too. PAM is fabulous! The whole thing! I enjoyed the food, the atmosphere, just everything.
