Reason for Admission: Wound care and rehabilitation following below-the-knee amputation
Hospital: PAM Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Westminster
After having a below-the-knee amputation, Lloyd Jernigan needed help regaining strength and managing the pain from his wound. He came to PAM Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Westminster due to its outstanding reputation in the area.
After a little more than two weeks of inpatient therapy, Mr. Jernigan made great improvements with his balance and standing, bed mobility, and getting up from a seating position without having to use a Hoyer lift.
He noted speech therapy also helped him with eating and swallowing, physical therapy with mobility, occupational therapy with getting him up daily, and case managers Jackie and Joe were tremendous.
Mr. Jernigan said the staff went out of their way to make sure he was comfortable, and he really appreciated their help and support during his healing journey.
