Long-Term Acute Care Hospitals

Long-Term Acute Care Hospitals (LTACHs) provide specialized, extended medical care for patients recovering from respiratory failure, particularly those who require ventilator support, oxygen therapy, or prolonged weaning. These patients often face complex medical challenges, including chronic lung disease, pneumonia, ARDS, or post-surgical complications, requiring advanced respiratory care and rehabilitation to regain independence.

  • Ventilator Weaning & Respiratory Therapy – Specialized programs to help patients gradually reduce dependence on mechanical ventilation.
  • Tracheostomy & Airway Management – Skilled care to manage breathing tubes, suctioning, and secretion control.
  • 24/7 Respiratory Monitoring – Continuous evaluation of oxygen levels, lung function, and potential complications.
  • Physical & Occupational Therapy – Strengthening exercises to improve endurance and mobility, essential for regaining independence.
  • Speech & Swallowing Therapy – Assisting patients with swallowing difficulties and restoring communication abilities.
  • Nutritional Support & Metabolic Care – Optimized nutrition plans to support lung function and overall healing.
  • Education & Care Transition Planning – Helping patients and families prepare for long-term respiratory management at home or in a rehabilitation setting.

Inpatient Pulmonary Rehabilitation

Intensive care to improve lung function and overall health.

Our inpatient pulmonary rehab program provides structured care for patients with severe respiratory conditions, including those recovering from respiratory failure or surgery.

Outpatient Pulmonary Rehabilitation

Some patients prefer outpatient care, especially those whose spinal cord injuries were not severe enough to require hospitalization. Outpatient rehabilitation allows patients to come to our hospital for a few hours of treatment during the day and return home each night.
Comprehensive outpatient therapy is also available to patients who want to maintain or enhance their recovery after inpatient rehab. Along with this, we also offer patient and family member support groups.
