As part of PAM Health’s commitment to providing the highest quality of care through innovation and programs, Dr. Lewis Clarke has been appointed as PAM Health’s Corporate Medical Director of Brain Injury Treatment and Research. Dr. Clarke brings exceptional clinical expertise and an innovative vision that aligns perfectly with PAM Health’s strategic objectives.
The addition of Dr. Clarke and this new program positions PAM Health at the forefront of neurological rehabilitation innovation. As a physician-scientist with over 40 years of experience in neuroscience and medicine, he holds both an MD and PhD, specializing in Cell Biology and Neuropharmacology, and is a nationally recognized expert in brain function, neuroplasticity, and cellular recovery. As a true neuroscientist, he has helped pioneer integrative treatment models that combine medical therapy, neurological rehab, and targeted supplementation to restore function in patients recovering from stroke, traumatic brain injury (TBI), dementia, and other complex neurological conditions.
Dr. Clarke earned his Bachelor of Arts from Baylor University before completing a Master of Science in Human Development at the University of Texas at Dallas, where his research focused on cardiovascular psychophysiology and biostatistics. He went on to earn his Doctor of Medicine (MD) from Texas Tech University School of Medicine, together with a PhD in Neurobiology through the University of Texas Health Sciences Center at Dallas. His doctoral research focused on the neuropharmacological mechanisms involved in central nervous system control of cardiovascular function.
This unique academic background, spanning medicine, cell biology, and neurochemistry, underpins Dr. Clarke’s lifelong commitment to advancing the field of brain health and neurological recovery. He remains active in protocol development, interdisciplinary training, and ongoing clinical research to improve outcomes for patients with brain injuries and neurodegenerative disease.
