Customized Programs for Effective Work Injury Rehabilitation

Inpatient Workers’ Compensation

Serious work-related injuries require a hospital stay or rehabilitation center, where patients receive round-the-clock medical attention and specialized care, such as surgery for severe fractures, intensive care for severe burns, or monitoring and treatment of traumatic brain injuries.
PAM Health provides 24/7 medical attention to ensure the patient is stable enough to be moved to outpatient care for continued treatment.

Outpatient Workers’ Compensation Treatment

Patients with less severe injuries, such as minor fractures and sprains, who do not require hospitalization, can receive outpatient care while maintaining their daily routines.

They can benefit from doctor visits, physical therapy, and rehabilitation sessions while working or handling personal responsibilities.

A Team Dedicated to Long-Term Recovery

PAM Health’s Workers’ Compensation Program Team

Our experts support patients through every stage of recovery, offering inpatient programs to manage complex medical conditions, build strength, and restore function as well as ambulatory clinics for ongoing support through outpatient rehabilitation.

For example, after leaving the hospital, some workers’ compensation patients are not well enough to return home.  They may benefit from a stay at our long-term acute care hospitals, which specialize in providing care for patients with complex medical needs, which could include ventilator-assisted breathing, amputation and wound healing, and more.

From there, some patients may discharge to an inpatient rehabilitation hospital.  Our rehab hospitals also admit patients coming directly from the acute care hospital, depending upon the severity of the injury. The physical, speech, and occupational therapists work together with the nursing and physician teams to address the patient’s needs and goals to ensure optimal recovery and, when possible, a safe return to work.
